Battleground 2024: Ethan Page to Challenge Trick Williams for NXT Title
Ethan Page has got his demands met as he will challenge for NXT Championship against Trick Williams at NXT Battleground 2024.
Page kept NXT General Manager Eva on the hook throughout the NXT episode on June 4, 2024, as he presented some specific demands before signing a contract. Page arrived to NXT last week to attack NXT Champion Trick Williams.
Page was also revealed to be the mystery attacker who took out Noam Dar a few weeks ago while he also attacked Oro Mensah last week. After the show, Page revealed that he was a free agent and had not signed a contract anywhere. He returned to NXT this week and told Ava that he liked the contract she offered but wanted to add a few more terms.
A contract signing segment was set in the main event where Page revealed that he had leverage in these negotiations. Trick Williams also came out for a promo with Page and demanded Ava to agree to any term that Page had. Page revealed that he wanted a NXT title shot in his debut match at Battleground and if Trick would lose, “Whoop That Trick” era would come to an end.
Trick told Ava to sign the contract with these demands and the match between them was made official.
NXT Battleground 2024 takes place this Sunday at UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The Inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion will be crowned.
