Forbidden Door 2024: Moxley vs Naito Rematch, Cassidy vs Sabre Set

Jon Moxley and Tetsuya Naito are on a collision course once again at AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 PPV.

Moxley retained IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Dominion event on June 9 against Evil. Post-match, he called out for anyone from NJPW to come out to accept his challenge for Forbidden Door. Naito answered the challenge.

Moxley defeated Naito to win IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Windy City Riot 2024 event earlier. Moxley has since defended the title three times along with participating in a couple of title eliminators.

In another match which was confirmed for the show is a singles match between Zack Sabre Jr. and Orange Cassidy. Sabre appeared on Collision June 8 episode via video and challenged Cassidy for a singles match.

Jeff Cobb has also called out for an open challenge for his NJPW World TV Championship.

Forbidden Door 2024 is a joint event from AEW and NJPW and will take place on June 30 in Elmont, NY. Stardom’s Mina Shirakawa is set to challenge for AEW Women’s Championship. CMLL’s Stephaine Vaquer will face Mercedes Mone.
