Hikaru Shida will defend her AEW Women’s Championship against Toni Storm at AEW Full Gear 2023 PPV event.

During November 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, there was a “black-and-white “timeless” segment featuring a contract signing between Shida and Storm. The signing included a confrontation, during which Shida expressed her confidence in defeating Storm.

Toni Storm has recently adopted a new gimmick called “Timeless Toni Storm,” and her entrances involve a change to a black-and-white aesthetic. Her most recent match occurred on the October 7 episode of AEW Collision, where she emerged victorious against Kiera Hogan.

Hikaru Shida holds the distinction of being the first woman to win the AEW Women’s title three times. In recent weeks, Storm has been consistently interfering in Shida’s matches. Shida’s most recent title defense occurred on the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she successfully defended her title against Willow Nightingale.

During AEW Dynamite’s 200th episode, Shida won the AEW Women’s Championship for the second time by defeating Storm. However, at AEW All Out 2023, Shida lost her title to Saraya. On the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Shida managed to regain the title by defeating Saraya, making her a three-time champion.

AEW Full Gear PPV event is scheduled for November 18, 2023, and it will be live from Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. AEW International Championship match is also set for the event where Orange Cassidy will face Jon Moxley.
