Swerve Strickland made his first title defense of AEW World Championship at Collision last week. His workload is expected to be on the up as he will be preparing for a new challenger for Double or Nothing. Who will this challenger be? Will we see some title contender match this week?
Kenny Omega Returns, Highest Ranking Official To be Revealed
Kenny Omega is set to make an appearance on Dynamite as the show comes to his hometown, Winnipeg. Omega returns at a time when The Elite, a faction he used to lead, has attacked Tony Khan last week. Khan is set to be on sidelines and will only be controlling AEW remotely. A new official is set to be revealed in his absense, called AEW’s Highest Ranking Official, who will be in charge of AEW. Will Omega be that official?
Title Matches
Adam Copeland has issued another challenge for House of Black. He is set to defend TNT Championship against any one of the members of House of Black. HOB has not showed their cards and has not revealed who that member would be. Will Copeland be able to “cope” with them?
“The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho will have a stiff challenge in front of him in the form of the legend Katsuyori Shibata as he defends FTW Championship. Will Shibata be able to avenge Hook’s title loss to Jericho?
Singles Matches
Serena Deeb has proclaimed herself as the next challenger for AEW Women’s Championship. But, she will first have to deal with the champion’s sidekick Mariah May before getting to Toni Storm herself. Will she be able to get a win here and stake his claim for a title shot?
Samoa Joe is set to return to action a gap of one week. Joe lost the AEW World Championship to Swerve Strickland at Dynasty and is yet to appear on TV since then. He will face Issiah Kassidy in a singles match.
Brian Cage and Claudio Castagnoli are also set for a singles match. Claudio unsuccessfully challenged Cage’s stable leader Swerve Strickland for AEW World Championship. Will he be able to beat the other member of The Mogul Embassy?
