AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Card: Two World Title Matches Added
AEW has announced two more World title matches for Double or Nothing 2024 PPV during AEW Dynamite May 1 episode.
It was announced earlier that we would get to know who AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland would face at Double or Nothing during this week’s Dynamite. Swerve opened the show and started talking about The Elite’s henious attack on Tony Khan. This led to The Young Bucks appearing on the screen and announcing that Swerve would face Christian Cage at Double or Nothing to defend his World title.
Cage then came out with his faction The Patriarchy’s Nick Wayne, Killswitch and Mother Wayne. He caught Swerve by surprise by hitting him with a microphone before his faction beat up Swerve more. Cage then explained how Swerve lost a tag team match with him at All In and also attacked Nick Wayne last year, which were acting as his motivation to come after Swerve.
The second match added to Double or Nothing 2024 is AEW Women’s Championship match which will see Toni Storm facing Serena Deeb. Deed was in action against Mariah May this week on Dynamite with Toni in May’s corner. Toni had to throw in the towel for May when Deeb had May in a sharpshooter. The title match at Double or Nothing was announced after this.
