WWE SmackDown episode of May 3, 2024, is set to be the first live SmackDown episode from France. It has a special start time of 1 PM ET to air in France, UK and other parts of Europe. Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles are set to go face-to-face once again on the go-home edition of Backlash 2024.

Cody & AJ Go Face-To-Face

Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles signed the contract for Universal Championship match at Backlash last week. They went after each other during the segment, but were fairly respectful to each other. AJ teased catching Cody off gaurd in the last segment of the show last week, but Cody still ended the show with a handshake. Will this mutual respect continue this week also when they come face-to-face once again?

WWE Tag Team Championship Match

A-Town Down Under are set for their first defense of WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown May 3 episode. They will face The Street Profits who won a fatal 4-way match to earn the #1 contender status. Will they be able to upset the champions so early in their title reign?

New Catch Republic vs. Authors of Pain

Both teams, New Catch Republic and The Final Testament, were drafted to RAW in Draft 2024. However, they will have their first clash in this rivalry on SmackDown before the draft comes into affect. Which team will have an upper hand going into the new brand?

The First-Ever Edition of The “RKO Show”

While Kevin Owens has not been hosting The KO Show ever since he came to WWE, Randy Orton will be joining him in hosting the first-ever “RKO Show”. It remains unknown if they will have any other guests on the show as they prepare to face The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.
