WWE Backlash France 2024 is a pro-wrestling event from WWE, which is schedule for May 4, 2024. The event will take place at LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu, France. This is the second Backlash event in a row to take place outside of United States, and 19th event overall in the Backlash series.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns on night 2 of WrestleMania XL event to become Undisputed Universal title. On the same event, LA Knight defeated AJ Styles in a singles match. Cody was announced to make his first televised defense at Backlash event. His title challenger was identified via a series of matches on SmackDown. On SmackDown April 12 episode, LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar & Bobby Lashley while AJ Styles defeated Rey Mysterio & Kevin Owens in different triple-threat matches to set up a #1 contender match.

World Heavyweight Championship: A fatal 4-way #1 contender match was announced for World Heavyweight Championship for RAW After WrestleMania 40 episode on April 8, 2024. Jey Uso defeated Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed and Ricochet in that match to get the title shot. The match was later announced for Backlash France event. Jey Uso teamed up with Ricochet and Andrade on RAW April 29 episode to beat Judgment Day’s Damian Priest, JD McDonagh and Finn Balor.

WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley won the WWE Women’s Championship on night 2 of WrestleMania XL by beating Iyo Sky. She wanted to face Naomi in her first title defense, but Tiffany Stratton took exception to it. Naomi then defeated Tiffany in a singles match to become the #1 contender. Tiffany then intervened during Bayley vs Naomi title match on April 19 SmackDown episode to cause a disqualification and hit both women with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Tiffany vs Naomi match was booked once again for April 26 Smackdown which ended in a no-contest. Following the match, Nia Jax attacked Bayley. Tiffany then took Bayley and Naomi to the ring to hit them with Prettiest Moonsault Ever once again. After this, Nick Aldis announced that Bayley would defend her title in a triple threat match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: On Night 1 of WrestleMania XL, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill & Naomi defeated Damage CTRL trio of Dakota Kai and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). On the April 26 episode of SmackDown, SmackDown Manager Nick Aldis announced that The Kabuki Warriors would defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Belair and Cargill at Backlash.

Bloodline vs Owens & Orton: Solo Sikoa took charge of the Bloodline on April 12 SmackDown episode. Tama Tonga made his debut as part of the group by attacking and removing Jimmy Uso from the faction. On April 19 SmackDown episode, Tonga tried to run over Kevin Owens’ rental car before Solo Sikoa joined him into attacking him. On April 26 SmackDown episode, Owens hit back at Solo and Tonga, but Randy Orton had to come to his aid. Later that night, it was announced that Orton and Owens would face The Bloodline(Sikoa and Tonga) in a tag team match at Backlash. The RKO show was announced for May 3 SmackDown in France with Owens hosting Orton.
