At WrestleMania kick-off event in Las Vegas on February 8, 2024, Roman also said that Cody has passed onto his chance to face him and it was his decision to choose his opponent which would be the Rock.
However, Cody announced that he would face actually Roman at WrestleMania. During the promo, Cody said Rock and Roman’s grandfather would be ashamed of them for forcing him to step aside. Cody then challenged The Rock for a singles match, but The Rock responded with a challenge for a tag team match with Roman as his tag team partner against Cody and Rollins. Cody then interrupted Rock and Roman to say it was not Roman’s choice to make, but it was his own as the winner of Royal Rumble, and he had chosen to face Roman.
Glad to see Roman Reigns go. His 1300+ days was a sham. A lot of regulars on Monday night and Friday night are back in the ring 3 or 4 times a month. Reigns fought a minimum number of matches during those 1300 days. If he had been scheduled to fight weekly or bi-weekly, he would have lost his titles long ago. Instead WWE schedules weeks of qualification matches so someone can “earn” the right to fight Reigns. This is nonsense. The WWE manaagement is to blame. Keeping him away from possible defeat situations was their strategy. I was sick of the Bloodline and “acknowledge me” months ago. Let’s hear it from others who feel the same way about Roman Reigns. So now Paul Heyman has to find another fighter to champion with his little-boy groveling.
