Rebellion Updates: Mickie James Relinquishes, Pre-Show Matches Set
IMPACT Rebellion 2023 has seen more changes and additions to the card this week just 3 days ahead of the date it is supposed to air.
The first change comes in IMPACT Knockouts Championship match. It was made clear last month that Mickie James had suffered broken ribs and her title defense at IMPACT Sacrifice was pulled. At Sacrifice, it was announced that James would defend the title at Rebellion PPV in case she gets clearance from medical.
The match was set as a triple-threat match between James, Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo. On this week’s IMPACT TV episode, James announced that she was not cleared by medical team and had relinquished the title. The Knockouts title match at Rebellion will now be a singles match between Grace and Purrazzo.
A new match is also added to the card on Countdown to Rebellion pre-show. Former IMPACT Tag Team Champions Heath and Rhino will take on Shera and Champagne Singh.
In another development, Team Bully will have man advantage in Hardcore War match. Kenny King(Team Bully) and Frankie Kazarian(Team Dreamer) clashed in a singles match with the winner earning the advantage for his team. Moose interfered in the match to hit a spear on Kazarian and helping King to win the match.
In addition to this, Team Bully is also changed now with Brian Myers and Moose replacing The Good Hands.
IMPACT Rebellion airs this Sunday on April 16, 2023, with pre-show from 7:30 PM ET and the main show from 8 PM ET. Keep tuned in for more updates.
