IMPACT Rebellion 2023
IMPACT Rebellion 2023 PPV event is a pro-wrestling event from IMPACT Wrestling. It took place on April 16, 2023, at Rebel Entertainment Theatre in Toronto, Canada. This is the fifth event under the Rebellion event series by IMPACT Wrestling while being their second PPV of the year 2023.
A new IMPACT World Champion was crowned in the match between Kushida and Steve Maclin. Deonna Purrazo and Jordynne Grace clashed in the match for IMPACT Knockouts Championship. A hardcore match between Team Tommy Dreamer and Team Bully Ray was also one of the marquee matches.

Champagne Singh & Shera vs Heath & Rhino(pre-show)
A tag team match was set for pre-show which saw Champagne Singh and Shera take on former tag team champion Heath and Rhino.
Winner – Champagne Singh & Shera
The Covan(Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King)(c) vs Death Dollz(Jessicka & Rosemary) – IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship(pre-show)
The Covan defeated Death Dollz on IMPACT TV episode of March 16, 2023, to win Knockouts Tag titles. Rosemary then defeated KiLynn King in a singles match on the pre-show of Sacrifice 2023. The win has earned Death Dollz a rematch for the tag team titles. The match later shifted to pre-show.

Bullet Club(Ace Austin & Chris Bey)(c) vs Motor City Machine Guns(Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) – Ultimate X Match for IMPACT Tag Team Championship
Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, are attempting to win IMPACT Tag Team Championship back ever since they lost them to Bullet Club. In yet another attempt to win them back, they have challenged Bullet Club duo of Chris Bey and Ace Austin for an Ultimate X match.

The Design(Deaner, Angles, Kon/Sami Callihan) vs Santino Marella, Joe Hendry & Dirty Dango
Sami Callihan reached step 7 of the initiation process into the Design where he was ordered by Deaner to remove all of the authority from his life. Santino Marella was later attacked backstage. While it was not clear whether Sami was the one to attack Marella, The Director of Authority announced that he would return to the ring to face The Design with Joe Hendry and Dirty Dango in his team.

Eddie Edwards vs PCO – Last Rites Match
After being in the same stable for almost an year, PCO attacked Eddie Edwards on October 20 episode of IMPACT. Two weeks later, Edwards and PCO fought in Great Basin Dessert where Edwards buried PCO. PCO then returned to attack Edwards at Hard to Kill 2023 event. They returned to the desert on March 9 episode of IMPACT where Edwards was saved by a car knocking over PCO and taking Edwards away to safety. Edwards and PCO clashed on April 6 episode of IMPACT where Edwards’ wife Alisha helped him win the match. IMPACT then announced a Last Rites match between them at Rebellion.

Trey Miguel(c) vs Jonathan Gresham vs Mike Bailey – IMPACT X-Division Championship
A number 1 contender match between Jonthan Gresham and Mike Bailey was supposed to identify Trey Miguel’s challenger for X-Division Championship at Rebellion. However, Miguel interrupted in the match in the hopes of not finding a challenger and avoiding a title defense at Rebellion. IMPACT then announced that Miguel would have to defend the title against both Gresham and Bailey.

Team Dreamer vs Team Bully – Hardcore War Tag Team Match
After an argument on the Busted Open Radio Show, Tommy Dreamer, and Bully Ray faced off in a Busted Open(First Blood) match at Sacrifice. Dreamer got Bully busted open when the referee was down. Bully got help from John Skyler and Jason Hotch who attacked Dreamer and made him bleed while also wiping up Bully’s blood. When the referee woke up, he declared Bully the winner. Bully and allies continued to beat up Dreamer. IMPACT President Scott D’amore then lead Joe Hendry, Heath, Rhino, Mike Bailey, and Jonathan Gresham to save Dreamer. IMPACT later announced a Hardcore Tag Team match where Dreamer and Bully can recruit 4 wrestlers each for their teams.
Team Bully was as follows: Bully Ray, Kenny King, Masha Slamovich, Brian Myers and Moose. Team Dreamer was: Tommy Dreamer, Frankie Kazarian, Yuya Uemera, Killer Kelly and Bhupinder Gujjar. King defeated Frankie Kazarian to earn the man advantage for Team Bully. Earlier, The Good Hands were part of Team Bully, but they were replaced by Moose and Myers.

Kushida vs Steve Maclin – IMPACT World Championship
Steve Maclin become the #1 contender for IMPACT World Championship at No Surrender by beating Brian Myers, PCO, and Heath. Josh Alexander was supposed to defend the title against Kushida at Multiverse United, but he relinquished the title due to torn tricep injury. Kushida was instead put on a Rebellion card where he would face Steve Maclin for the vacant World World Championship.

Jordynne Grace vs Deonna Purrazo – IMPACT Knockouts Championship
Mickie James defeated Jordynne Grace to win IMPACT Knockouts Championship. They were supposed to have a rematch at the IMPACT Sacrifice event. However, James suffered a broken rib and was unable to defend the title. IMPACT then announced that Grace would get a title shot at Rebellion PPV. James was also set to defend the Knockouts title at Multiverse United in a fatal 4-way match. That match was changed to a title contender match with Masha Slamovich replacing James to take on Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Miyu Yamashita. Purrazzo won this match to be added to the Rebellion card. If Mickie James was not to be cleared by Rebellion, the title would be vacated and the winner between Grace and Purrazzo would be crowned the new champion. On April 13 IMPACT episode, James announced that she was not cleared for the match and relinquished the title to turn the match into a singles match.
