WWE SmackDown episode of May 5, 2023, will be a special episode from San Juan Puerto Rico which will also be the go-home edition of WWE Backlash 2023 and will feature Bad Bunny. 

The OC(Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) are set to take on the Viking Raiders in a tag team match in their first match back on SmackDown. Shinsuke Nakamura will collide against Karrion Kross in a singles match. Moreover, Bad Bunny will appear on the final SmackDown before WWE Backlash. The OC vs The Viking Raiders

Both The OC’s AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Michin’ Mia Yim were drafted to SmackDown in Draft 2023. Upon his return from the injury, Styles called out anyone to take on them. The Viking Raiders(Erik, Ivar and Valhalla) answer their challenge and AJ unleashed his stable on them for a brawl. The Good Brothers now take on Erik and Ivar in an official match this week. Will the Viking Raiders be able to take revenge for the beatdown last week?

Karrion Kross vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura made his long-awaited return to SmackDown two weeks ago. The same week, Karrion Kross & Scarlett appeared in a tarot card segment where Scarlet picked Nakamura’s card as the next target for Kross. Last week, Kross attacked Nakamura after he was drafted to RAW. Later, WWE announced that these two men will have a singles match before Nakamura switches brands. Who will win in the battle of two former NXT Champions? 

Bad Bunny Appears

The host of WWE Backlash 2023 Bad Bunny is set to appear on the final SmackDown before the PPV which will also emanate from Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny confronted his Backlash opponent Damian Priest last week on RAW to announce that they will clash in a street fight. Will The Judgement Day’s Damian Priest interrupt Bad Bunny before they clash in a street fight this Saturday? 

Cody Rhodes Appears

Cody Rhodes will appear on SmackDown in Puerto Rico just a night before he faces Brock Lesnar at Backlash. What does the American Nightmare has to say to Puerto Rican crowd? Will he also set his sight on Roman Reigns’ Universal title once again?

What Else to Expect?

Will The Bloodline target Matt Riddle, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn a night before their trios match at Backlash?

How will WWE solve the problem of RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair being drafted on SmackDown, and SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley being drafted to RAW?
