NXT Stand & Deliver 2024: Lyra Valkyrie vs Roxanne Perez Set
NXT Women’s Championship match is announced for NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 event where Lyra Valkyrie will defend the title against Roxanne Perez.
Roxanne was in action this week on NXT where she defeated Tatum Paxley in a singles match. After the match, Lyra attacked Roxanne. Roxanne ended up fighting off both Paxley and Lyra before putting Lyra in a crossface and putting more pressure on her injured left arm.
Later in the show, Lyra went to NXT General Manager Ava and asked her to book against Roxanne at Stand & Deliver for her title, to which Ava agreed.
Roxanne earlier became the #1 contender by winning a Battle Royal. However, her singles title shot was turned into a triple threat match at Vengeance Day when Lola Vice cashed in her Breakout Tournament contract. Lyra ended up retaining the title on that occasion.
However, Roxanne’s frustration grew due to not winning the title and she started taking on the rest of the roster. She attacked Lyra two weeks ago at Roadblock and injured her arm.
NXT Stand & Deliver event is set to take place on April 6, 2024, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, on the day of WrestleMania 40. NXT Championship will be on the line in the match between Ilja Dragunov and Tony D’Angelo.
