IMPACT has officially announced two matches for IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2 event, including NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship match.

IMPACT officially announced that Giulia will defend her STRONG Women’s title against Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Momo Kohgo in a Fatal 4-way match.

Earlier, Deonna Purrazzo issued an open challenge for Stardom wrestlers to face her at Multiverse United 2. On August 13, 2023, Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw appeared in a video promo at STARDOM x STARDOM 2023 event to challenge Giulia for NJPW STRONG Women’s title.

On August 18, IMPACT confirmed Purrazzo and Shaw will get their chance for the STRONG Women’s Championship, although IMPACT also added Momo Kohgo from the NJPW brand to balance representation from both brands in the crossover show.

Towards the end of June, Giulia expressed her desire to compete in wrestling matches overseas. Now it is set she will compete in Multiverse United 2 crossover event. She had recently defended her NJPW STRONG Women’s title successfully against Yuu at the STARDOM x STARDOM 2023 event.

A tag team bout is also set for the IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2 event, where TJP and Francesco Akira will face Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita. Robbie Eagles was recently part of the IMPACT Down Under Tour, participating in events held in Australia.

Additionally, YOH has been included as the eighth participant in the X-Division/Jr. Heavyweight Scramble Match that was previously announced.

IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2 is scheduled for August 20, 2023, at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.
