NOTES & STORYLINES

This is the second event in the third event in the Multiverse series from IMPACT Wrestling. However, this is the second event under the Multiverse United name in collaboration with NJPW Strong. The first event took place under Wrestlecon 2023 festival on March 31, 2023, titled as Multiverse United: Only the Strong Survive.

Alex Shelley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi: Shelley challenged Hiroshi Tanahashi via social media to face him at Multiverse United 2. IMPACT later announced the match officially.

NJPW Strong Women’s Championship Match: Deonna Purrazzo put out an open challenge for women of Stardom to face her at Multiverse United 2. She later confronted Giulia At Stardom x Stardom 2023 show, Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw appeared in a video promo to challenge NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia. Giulia accepted the challenge in a backstage interview later on that show. Mama Kohgo also threw her hat into the match before IMPACT officially announced it as a fatal 4-way match.
