Welcome to the live results page for NJPW Strong Independence Day 2023 Night 1 event on July 4, which aired from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

This was the first time NJPW Strong, the promotion’s US wing, presented an event in Japan. 9 matches were set for the show, with the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title in the co-main event. Catch 2/2’s TJP and Francesco Akira defended their titles against Bullet Club’s newest members Drilla Moloney and Clark Connors.

Bishamon defended NJPW Strong Tag Team Championship, one of two titles they hold, against Bullet Club Wardogs’ Alex Coughlin and Gabe Kidd. Jon Moxley was in action in the main event as he teamed up with Homicide to take on El Desperado and Jun Kasai in a No DQ tag team match. Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale and Giulia were in action in a tag team match.
