NJPW Best of Super Juniors 2023 Night 5 Results, May 17, 2023
NJPW Best of Super Juniors 30 event series continued with night 5 on May 17, 2023 from Sendai Sun Plaza Hall in Miyagi, Japan.
Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Desperado took on YOH in the main event. El Desperado was sitting at the top(joint) of block B after 3 wins and a loss. YOH was on 2 wins and 2 losses. KUSHIDA vs Taiji Ishimori was co-main event from block A. Ishimori suffered his first loss in the tournament on night 4 against Lio Rush.
Lio Rush looked to maintain his unbeaten record in the tournament as he faced DOUKI. Mike Bailey faced Titán from Block A with both men on 3 wins and 1 loss. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi opened the card as he faced Ryusuke Taguchi. Already on 2 losses, was he able to protect further slide?
