This was going to be the last special event before Slammiversary PPV and there were two important matches on this card in that regard. IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo teamed up with her Slammiversary opponent Trinity to take on Savanah Evans and Gisele Shaw. The first-ever 8-4-1 match was set to identify the new #1 contender for IMPACT World Championship.
This match started as a 4 vs 4 tag team match and the winning team then clashed in a fatal 4-way match to identify the title contender. The likes of Nick Aldis, Mike Bailey, Jonathan Gresham, PCO, Rich Swann and many others were in this match. World Champion Steve Maclin was also in action as he faced Alex Shelley for the title.
2 pre-show matches were set – Kilynn King vs Nevaeh singles match, and Joe Hendry vs Dirty Dango rematch for Digital Media title. X-Division title rematch was also there on the card between Trey Miguel and Chris Sabin. A tag team Ohio Street fight saw oVe take on the Design. A singles clash between Frankie Kazarian and Eddie Edwards, a dog collar match between Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly, and a match for tag team titles completed the card.
