Hayes vs Waller NXT Title Match Set for Spring Breakin’ 2023
Date and the main event for NXT Spring Breakin’ 2023 is set now at WWE Performance Center.
WWE revealed last week that NXT Spring Breakin’ will be the next NXT TV special show. It was revealed this week on NXT by Carmelo Hayes that it is set to take place on April 25, 2023 episode of NXT.
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes opened the show to address Bron Breakker attacking him last week. He offered Bron Breakker a spot in the #1 contender fatal 4-way match. Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh and Grayson Waller were already announced for the match.
Later in the show, Bron Breakker interrupted Chase U’s MVP trophy presentation ceremony for Duke Hudson. Breakker offered his spot to Duke Hudson, who accepted it gladly. Breakker then went on to attack Andre Chase while Duke ran away with his MVP trophy.
The #1 contender match went down in the main event of NXT this week with all 4 participants getting their moments in the match. However, it was Grayson Waller who interrupted Dragon Lee’s pin attempt on Duke Hudson with a stunner and then went on to pin Hudson himself to win the match.
As Waller celebrated his win with a shoey on the stage, Carmelo Hayes also came to have a face-off with his challenger to close this week’s show. This is the only match announced for NXT Spring Breakin’ 2023. Keep tuned in for the latest updates.
