Gable Steveson’s WWE In-ring Debut Set at NXT Great American Bash 2023
Gable Steveson is announced to make his WWE in-ring debut against Baron Corbin at NXT Great American Bash 2023 event.
During the July 25 episode of NXT, Gable Steveson was set to make a crucial decision about his future. During the episode, Steveson discussed various options, including going to the Olympics, returning to college for the NCAA championship, or staying here in NXT.
Baron Corbin interrupted him and suggested that he go back to college and win another championship or go to the Olympics to try to become a 2-time gold medalist. After hearing this, Steveson took a quick decision and mentioned letting this settle at the NXT Great American Bash event. Steveson then hit Corbin with a German suplex. Afterward, the bout was officially announced by WWE.

Baron Corbin recently lost to Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship at the NXT Gold Rush event. Since then, we only saw vignettes of him as he brought back his Lone Wolf character.
Steveson is signed with WWE since 2021, but will only make his in-ring debut this weekend. He has been training in WWE Performance Center, but went for NCAA tournament last year which he ended up winning. Steveson is 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling in heavyweight division.
NXT Great American Bash 2023 event is scheduled for July 30 at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas. North American Championship match is also set between Dominik Mysterio, Mustafa Ali, and Wes Lee.
