Dragunov vs Williams NXT Title Bout Set for Vengeance Day 2024
Ilja Dragunov will defend his NXT Championship against Trick Williams at NXT Vengeance Day 2024 event.
During January 16 episode of NXT, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes emerged victorious against Malik Blade and Edris Enofe, securing their semi-final spot in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.
Following their win, the duo celebrated backstage. Ilja Dragunov interrupted the celebration, expressing regret that the medical team hadn’t cleared him for his anticipated match against Trick Williams at NXT New Year’s Evil. Instead, Dragunov announced that Williams would receive his opportunity at NXT Vengeance Day.

Dragunov was set to defend the title against Williams at New Year’s Evil event, but Dragunov encountered an apparent injury during a match with Ridge Holland.
Carmelo Hayes expressed discomfort with the announcement, particularly because the finals of the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic were also scheduled to take place at NXT Vengeance Day.
NXT Vengeance Day event is set for February 4, 2024, and it will be live from F&M Bank Arena in F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, TN. NXT women’s title bout is also set for the event.
