NJPW Windy City Riot 2024: Tetsuya Naito vs Jon Moxley Announced
NJPW has announced a matchup between Tetsuya Naito and Jon Moxley for IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Windy City Riot 2024 event.
At NJPW Battle in the Valley on January 13, Jon Moxley clashed with Shingo Takagi in a fierce bout. Both wrestlers bled profusely and endured table crashes. Moxley sealed the win with a Death Rider onto a table.
After the bell, Moxley seized a microphone, singling out Tetsuya Naito as his target. Moxley expressed that the moment had arrived for them to confront each other in the ring. Afterwards, NJPW officially announced that Jon Moxley is set to take on Tetsuya Naito, the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, at NJPW Windy City Riot on April 12.

Tetsuya Naito became the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion by defeating SANADA at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4th. He set for a rematch against SANADA at The New Beginning in Sapporo night 2 event on February 24, 2024.
