CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe, FTR vs. Bullet Club Gold, More Set For 7/8 AEW Collision
Three Owens Hart Semifinal matches including Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk and the AEW tag team championship match set for the July 8 episode of AEW Collision.
During the July 1 episode of AEW Collision, Jay White challenged FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) for the AEW Tag Team Championship. FTR responded that they would accept the challenge for next week. Subsequently, AEW announced that the two teams will clash in a tag team title eliminator match.
FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) will defend their AEW tag team titles after a long time. Their last title defense takes place at AEW Double or Nothing PPV event against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.

CM Punk and Samoa Joe will face each other one on one almost after 20 years. The bout between Punk and Joe will serve as a semifinal match for the 2023 Owens Hart Foundation tournament. CM Punk defeated Satoshi Kojima at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 PPV event to secure the spot where Joe defeated Roderick Strong on July 1 episode of AEW Collision to qualify.
Ricky Starks will face Powerhouse Hobbs in the semifinal match for the Owens Hart tournament. Hobbs secured his spot by defeating Dustin Rhodes and Starks advanced by defeating Juice Robinson on the July 1 episode of AEW Collision.

In the women’s bracket, Athena will face Willow Nightingale in the semifinal match for the Owens Hart tournament. Athena defeated Bille Starkz to qualify and Nightingale defeated Nyla Rose to secure her spot.
