Chris Jericho and Sting will be part of a six-man tag team match at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 PPV event.

Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy Guevara will face Darby Allin, Sting, and one more men in a six-man tag team match at the Forbidden Door PPV event.

During June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara were involved in a segment where Allin tried to convince Guevara to come out of Jericho’s shadow. Jericho then came out and took shots at Sting, leading to Sting confronting him in the ring.

On June 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy Guevara faced Actionn Andretti, Dante Martin, and AR Fox in a six-man tag team match which resulted in Jericho and company securing a clean victory.

After the match, Jericho took the mic and announced that this trio would now be called now Le Suzuki Gods. He then challenged Sting and Allin to find a partner for a match at the Forbidden Door event. Sting and Allin made their entrance and Sting accepted the challenge without any hesitation/ Darby mentioned that their third partner will be announced on June 24 episode of AEW Collision.

Sting and Chris Jericho have never faced each other in their wrestling careers despite Jericho being part of WCW for around 2 years in the late 90s. It will be interesting to see if this match ultimately leads to a singles match between them in future.

Forbidden Door 2023 PPV is a joint event from AEW and NJPW, and is set to air on June 25.
