AEW Dynamite March 27, 2024 Preview & Match Card
AEW Dynamite episode of March 27, 2024, will feature some important matches in the build-up for Dynasty 2024 PPV. The Young Bucks will face Private Party in quarterfinal of AEW Tag Team Championship tournament, and Best Friends will face The Undisputed Kingdom.
Will Ospreay will face Katsuyori Shibata in a singles match while Swerve Strickland and Konosuke Takeshita will try to earn a title shot at AEW World Championship. Swerve vs Takeshita
Swerve Strickland was asking AEW World Champion Samoa Joe for a title shot last week, and Joe was alsmost ready to grant him one. However, Don Callis interferred and put Konosuke Takeshita’s name in the hat for a title shot citing that Takeshita’s record is similar to that of Strickland this year. Now, Tony Khan has also announced that the winner of the Takeshita and Swerve match will be ranked at #1 in the updated AEW Rankings to be released after this episode.
Ospreay vs Shibata
Will Ospreay took offense to Bryan Danielson’s comments that Ospreay could not walk in his shoes. Ospreay retorted that Danielson’s shoes are too small to fit him, and he would try to one up Danielson as he faces his opponent in Katsuyori Shibata this week on Dynamite. Will Ospreay make a short work of legendary Shibata, or will Shibata prove to be a tough nut as always?
Tag Title Tournament
The tag team title tournament started earlier this month with Wild Card matches. The main portion of the tournament will start with a clash between The Young Bucks and Private Party. Private Party defeated The Young Bucks in the first ever tournament for the tag team titles back in 2019. Will The Young Bucks take revenge of it this time around?
The second quarterfinal of the tournament will see Orange Cassidy and Trent Baretta facing The Undisputed Kingdom’s Mike Bennet & Matt Taven. Cassidy earlier lost AEW International Championship to The Undisputed Kingdom’s Roderick Strong.
#1 Contender Fatal 4-Way
A fatal 4-way match is announced with the winner facing AEW TBS Women’s Championship against Julia Hart. Skye Blue, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Anna Jay are going to fight it out to get the title shot.
