AEW Dynamite April 12: Lee vs Jericho, Cassidy vs Matthews Set
AEW has revealed several matches for April 12, 2023 Dynamite episode including International Championship match.
House of Black’s Julia Hart was leaving to close Rampage this week when Orange Cassidy arrived to open Battle of The Belts 6 event. Cassidy defended AEW International title against Dralistico at the event yesterday. After the match, House of Black interrupted him from the big screen.
Buddy Mathews told Cassidy that House of Black were gracious enough to put their trios titles on the line, so, Cassidy should return the favor by putting his title on the line against one of them. AEW later announced that Cassidy would defend the title against Buddy Mathews.
Swerve Strickland announced on this week’s Rampage that Mogul Affiliates have done a merger but would reveal it later in the show. After Darby Allin defeated Lee Moriarty, Swerve came out to the stage, distracting Darby and allowing Brian Cage to attack from behind. Swerve then revealed that Mogul Affiliates have joined forces with The Embassy. Swerve will take on Darby Allin in a singles match on Dynamite April 12 episode.
Swerve’s other rival Keith Lee confronted Chris Jericho last week when he was talking about Daniel Garcia. Lee has challenged Jericho for a match which is now confirmed for Dynamite next week.
Brandon Culter and Michael Nakazawa were interviewed at Battle of the Belts where they revealed that they will stand up to bullies and will take on Blackpool Combat Club in the absence of The Elite. They were also announced to face Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli in a tag team match.
April 12, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite will air from Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, WI. The line-up so far is as below:
- Orange Cassidy (c) vs Buddy Matthews – AEW International Championship
- Keith Lee vs Chris Jericho
- Darby Allin vs Swerve Strickland
- Blackpool Combat Club(Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli) vs Brandon Cutler & Michael Nakazawa
