AEW Battle of the Belts 6 Results & Live Updates

Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Battle of the Belts 6 event which was live on April 7, 2023, from Kingston RI, after Rampage episode.

3 titles were on the line in the championship matches only show. Orange Cassidy defended AEW International Championship for the first time at Battle of the Belts event as he faced Dralistico of La Faccion Ingobernables.

QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs continued their rivalry with Lucha Bros as they challenged for ROH World Tag Team Championships. After a sitdown with Taya Valkyrie earlier in the night, Jade Cargill defended TBW Women’s Championship against Billie Starkz.

RESULTS

Orange Cassidy(c) defeated Dralistico in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW International Championship.
Jade Cargill(c) defeated Billie Starkz in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW TBS Women’s Championship.
Lucha Bros(Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Meido)(c) defeated QT Marshall & Powerhouse Hobbs in a tag team match via pinfall to retain ROH World Tag Team Championship.

LIVE UPDATE

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Dralistico – AEW International Championship

Dralistico goes to the floor to slow down the proceedings. He throws his bandana on Cassidy and blocks him from getting his hands in his pockets. Both men go for armdrags but land on their feet. Dralistico ducks Cassidy and hits a kick. Dralistico continues to dodge Cassidy and hits his moves. He hits dropkick to force Cassidy to the floor. Rush, Preston Vance and Best Friends are on the floor. Cassidy hits lazy chops on Dralistico as he returns.

Cassidy hits an actual over head chop. He walks the ropes, puts his hands in his pocket, dives into the ring and puts second hand into the pocket. He runs around and hits an armdrag with hands in his pocket before hitting a dropkick. Dralistico moves to the floor and passes time. Cassidy goes to the top and Jose The Assistant trips him. A fight break out on the floor. Dralistico hits them with tope suicida to take us to a break.

Cassidy starts to make momentum and hits a crossbody and Michinoku driver. Dralistico tries to counter but Cassidy hits a tornado DDT to get a two-count. He removes his elbow pad. Jose runs an interference once again. Dralistico hits a kick to Cassidy’s face before hitting a DDT to get a near fall. Cassidy hits a stundog millionaire. Dralistico hits a rising kick as Cassidy goes to the top. They trade forearm shots on the top rope.

Dralistico hits a headbutt and a hurricanrana on the top. Dralistico hits a tijeras before putting on a crossface. Cassidy gets to the ropes quickly. Cassidy blocks a double underhook. Dralistico hits a Canadian Destroyer to counter Beach Break. He hits a twisting kick to get a near fall. Cassidy goes to the floor. He hits an Orange punch on Jose on the floor. Dralistico swings Cassidy as he gets back. Cassidy lands on his feet and nails Dralistico with an Orange punch to get the pinfall.

Winner – Orange Cassidy

House of Black appears on the big screen now. Black says its good to see Cassidy back to winning ways as he can say that losing to The House was eating Cassidy alive. Black says they are not done with Cassidy at all. Buddy Mathews then says they were gracious enough to put their trios titles on the line and Cassidy should do the same.

Mark Briscoe is interviewed backstage where he says he is just looking forward and will not stop. Jay Lethal comes in and says they are all proud of him and love him no matter what. Jay asks Mark how come they are not working together despite knowing each other for 20 years. Mark agrees but is surprised when Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh swarm him in joy.

Jade Cargill(c) vs Billie Starkz – AEW TBS Women’s Championship

Starkz decks Jade with a big forearm. Jade drops her with a big punch. She hits a big chop on Starkz’s chest before spanking on her backside. Starkz fights back with more shots. She counters a slam. Cargill hits a fallaway slam. Starkz’s comeback attempt is thwarted and Cargill throws her to the floor. We cut to a break.

Jade has a headlock on. Starkz hits elbows to her midsection. Jade slams Starkz to the mat. Starkz hits back with some quick kicks. She blocks Jaded and hits a hurricanrana. Starkz pushes Jade to the floor and hits a dropkick to the back of her head. Jade hits a back elbow before sending Starkz back in to the ring. Starkz slams her face into her knees before a spinning back heel kick.

Starkz hits an enzuigiri and a flatliner to get a two-count. Starkz goes to the top now for Swanton bomb but Cargill gets her knees up. She gets out of the Jaded though. Jade hits a pump kick to drop her and hits Jaded to get the pinfall.

Winner – Jade Cargill

Taya Valkyrie comes out after the match. Jade tries to hit her with the belt but Taya ducks it. Taya goes for the Jaded but Jade blocks it and rolls to the floor.

Lucha Bros(Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Meido)(c) vs QT Marshall & Powerhouse Hobbs – ROH World Tag Team Championship

Quick back and forth action between QT and Penta to start the match. Penta nails him with a big shot. QT falls to his corner and tags in Hobbs. Hobbs trades punches before Lucha Bros work together to hit Hobbs with an enzuigiri and move quick moves. QT holds Penta but Penta ducks a tackle from Hobbs, leading to QT being knocked off. Rey hits a crossbody on Hobbs. Rey hits a suicide dive on QT on the floor.

Hobbs catches Penta and hits back breaker. He hits a fallaway slam on Rey after catching him. QT tags in and keeps control over Penta for a while. Penta starts to fight back but Hobbs comes in to run him over. We cut to a break.

Penta hits an enzuigiri on Hobbs as we return. QT pulls Rey off the apron to block a tag out. QT and Hobbs hits Penta in the corner. QT hits a powerbomb but Rey breaks the pin. Penta hits slingblade on QT and a backstabber on Hobbs. Rey gets the tag and hits quick moves on both opponents. Rey hits a hurricanrana on QT. Penta comes in for a double superkick to send Hobbs to the floor. QT is hit with a double team action but he kicks out.

Penta hits a crossbody off the top. Rey helps him hit a DDT. Rey hits a splash off the top but Hobbs breaks the pin. Rey hits a corkscrew kick on Hobbs. QT is dropped before Hobbs runs over Rey with clothesline. Penta hits a backstabber on QT. QT drops Penta to get a near fall. Penta and Hobbs trade shots now after QT tags out.

Lucha Bros hit Hobbs with rapid-fire offense. Rey hits a splash off the top of Penta’s shoulder on Hobbs. Penta hits a Destroyer on QT. Hobbs kicks out of the pin. QT tags in and Rey hits him with a spin kick.

QTV crew run interference and sprays paint into Rey’s eyes. Rey kicks out of the pin even as Aaron Solow was pushing QT’s legs on the ropes. Penta hits a dive on Hobbs on the floor. Rey counters with a roll-up in the ring to get the pinfall.

Winners – Lucha Bros

Penta gets into the ring and Lucha Bros get their title belts to close the show.
