Jalin Turner will be coming in for a short-notice fight at UFC Austin Fight Night event.

Bobby Green was without an opponent for December 2 event after Dan Hooker had to pull out of the fight after his arm injury resurfaced. Green called out anyone from the lightweight division to step up to him to fight on one week notice.

UFC President Dana White took to social media on Thursday to provide Thanksgiving fight updates. Among other announcements, White also announced that Turner has agreed to face Green at UFC Austin. He also updated that it will be a 3-round fight now. Green vs Hooker was earlier booked for 5 rounds.

Co-incidentally, Jalin Turner will be replacing the same fighter in this bout to whom he lost in his last bout. Dan Hooker beat Turner via split decision on the main card of UFC 290 PPV in July. Turner also missed weight before this bout by 2 lbs.

It was his second loss this year after suffering a defeat to Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 285. These 2 losses come after 5 back-to-back wins for Turner between 2020 to 2022. His overall UFC record stands at 6-4.

Bobby Green has 2 wins this year after his bout against Jared Gordon was deemed a no-contest due to an accidental clash of heads in April. He has since defeated Tony Ferguson at UFC 291 via submission in the dying second of the bout and knocked out Grant Dawson in merely 33 second in the headliner bout at UFC Fight Night on October 7.

UFC Austin Fight Night will be headlined by another lightwieght bout between Beniel Dariush and Arman Tsarukyan.
