Dan Hooker has withdrawn from his planned bout against Bobby Green at the UFC Austin event.

As per Christopher Reive’s report, Hooker pulled out of his match against Green because of an arm injury. This injury is linked to a previous break in the same arm that occurred during his fight against Jalin Turner at UFC 290.

Dan Hooker and Bobby Green were set for a lightweight showdown as the main event at UFC Austin. With Hooker out, the UFC is currently in search of a replacement opponent for Green to keep the event intact.

After a challenging stretch where he lost four out of five fights between 2020 and 2022, Hooker managed a comeback. He secured a second-round TKO victory against Claudio Puelles at UFC 281 PPV. Continuing his resurgence in 2023, he clinched a split decision win over Jalin Turner at UFC 290 PPV.

Bobby Green is gearing up for his fourth UFC fight in 2023. His year kicked off with a TKO victory over Jared Gordon, although this result was later altered to a no-contest due to the discovery of an accidental clash of heads in the replays.

UFC Austin Fight Night event on December 2, 2023, is set to take place at Moody Center in Austin, TX. A featherweight bout is also set for the event, where Steve Garcia Jr. will face Melquizael Costa.
