The IBF Featherweight Championship bout has been officially announced for September.
Top Rank Boxing announced that Luis Alberto Lopez would defend his IBF Featherweight Title against Joet Gonzalez in the headlining bout of Top Rank on ESPN event on September 15, 2023. The event will take place at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Luis Alberto Lopez has been undefeated since 2019 and is currently maintaining an 11-fight win streak. He is coming off a fifth-round TKO win against Michael Conian.
On the other hand, Joet Gonzalez has an alternate win-loss record since 2019. He is 3-3 in his last six matches. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Enrique Vivas.
Now, Joet Gonzalez will certainly like to break the pattern by winning the IBF Featherweight Title when he meets Lopez on September 15, whereas the latter will try his best to stay on the top of the mountain.
