A potential date has been revealed for George Kambosos Jr and Maxin Hughes lightweight bout.

According to the latest reports, George Kambosos Jr vs Maxi Hughes is reportedly set to take place on July 29 in Las Vegas.

Daily Mail Australia was the first one to report the date which was confirmed by Michael Benson on Twitter. You can see his tweet below.

George Kambosos Jr became the unified lightweight champion by defeating Teofimo Lopez in November 2021. However, his title reign didn’t last for very long as he lost the title to David Haney in June 2022. He challenged Haney in October 2022 again, but he failed to win the rematch as well.

On the other hand, Maxi Hughes is on a seven-fight winning streak. He won the IBO lightweight title by defeating Jovanni Straffon in September 2021. He successfully defended the title against Ryan Walsh in March 2022. Hughes is coming off a mixed-decision win against Kid Galahad.

Now, it remains to be seen which one of them will get away with the win when they collide on July 29.
