Alexis Rocha took on Anthony Young finally on May 27, 2023, over WBO NABO Welterweight title at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA, to headline a Golden Boy event on Dazn.

Rocha and Young were originally scheduled to clash on January 28, but Young withdrew due to an injury. Rocha then faced George Ashie and got an easy win with a knockout in the seventh round. It was Rocha’s fifth win since the start of 2021 after he lost against Rashidi Ellis late 2020.

Anthony Young was also on a long winning run and last tasted defeat in 2016. But, he was in action just once in 2022 in a unanimous decision win over Jose Zaragoza in an 8-round bout. Didi inactivity affect his game?

Melvin Jerusalem defended WBO Minimumweight title against Oscar Collazo. Jerusalem won the title by beating Masataka Taniguchi in January this year. Collazo became the interim champion in his last bout against Yudel Reyes in January.
