WWE SmackDown Live Results & Updates- 21 February 2020
Mella takes Naomi down with a spinebuster as we return. They trade strikes until Mella slams Naomi into the mat. Jawbreaker and a dropkick from Naomi forces Mella to go out. Naomi hits a crossbody on the floor and takes Mella back to the ring for two-count. Mella comes with a crossbody of her own to get two-count.
They tussle at the apron and Naomi does a slow sunset flip for two-count. Some roll-ups and pinning attempts follow. Carmella gets Naomi into submission and Naomi had to grab the ropes. Naomi blocks the superkick and hits rearview for a near fall. She misses the moonsault though and it gets two-count for Mella. An Enziguiri from Naomi, then a head-scissor and moonsault to get the pin.
Winner- Naomi, new #1 contender
After the match, Naomi celebrates in the ring. She offers a handshake to Carmella as she goes out. Mella is a sport after initial hesitation. Naomi will face Bayley at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 in Saudi Arabia.
Goldberg & The Fiend
Goldberg makes his way to the ring amid great reception from the crowd. Goldberg screams that it is good to be back. And it is after a long time that he is on SmackDown, so he will take his sweet time. He calls out the Fiend right away though. Bray Wyatt appears on the big screen with the Firefly Fun House. Wyatt wants to get to know each other and introduces his puppets to Goldberg. Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Ramblin’ Rabbit all make their appearance.
Wyatt thrashes Rabbit with his large Mallet. He tells Goldberg that there is someone who wants to meet him. The lights start going down and it gets dark. The lights come back and the camera is on Goldberg The crowd is able to see what Goldberg describes. The Fiend is behind Goldberg. They stare at each other before Goldberg spears the Fiend. Goldberg gets ready for more as The Fiend gets up. The lights go off again and the Fiend has disappeared by the time they come back. Goldberg stands in the ring as the show goes off the air.
