WWE RAW July 17: Lesnar Returns, Women’s Tag Title & Vikings Match Set

WWE has announced one segment and three matches for the July 17, 2023 episode of WWE RAW, including the women’s Tag Team Championship match and Brock Lesnar’s return.

During the July 10 episode of RAW, Cody Rhodes challenged Brock Lensar for a rubber match at SummerSlam 2023 event. As Lesnar was not in the arena, he did not respond. He will be back on the July 17 episode of RAW and will likely respond to Cody Rhodes’ challenge.

Women’s Tag Team Championship match is also set for next week on WWE RAW where Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan will defend their titles against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. During the July 3 episode of RAW, Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville won the Gauntlet match last week to become the number one contenders for the titles.

Although for Rodriguez and Liv Morgan, it will be their first title defense following their victory and capturing the championship back at the Money in the Bank PPV event.

Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) will face Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) in a Viking Rules match on the July 17 episode of RAW. The match was set because during the graduation ceremony for Maxxine Dupri where Viking Raiders interrupted the proceeding and Valhalla dropped Maxxine from behind.

Matt Riddle will face Gunther in a one-on-one match next week. Riddle teamed up with Drew McIntyre to beat Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Later, Riddle informed that he will face Gunther in a rematch. McIntyre suggested him not to face him next week as he would not be there on RAW. Riddle then revealed that he got Kaiser and Vinci banned from ringside during the ring.

July 17, 2023 episode of RAW will be live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA. Below is the announced line-up for the show:
