Tony Khan on Impact

AEW President, Tony Khan recently appeared on the Le Batard & Friends – South Beach Sessions podcast where he shared his thoughts on WWE releasing so many talented superstars.

WWE had released several superstars ever since the beginning of the pandemic. The company let go of several talented superstars this year as well and released wrestlers, Andrade, Malakai (Alesteir) Black, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt The Fiend, and many more.

The company has released a total of 52 superstars this year only. The most recent batch came from NXT where they released the likes of Bobby Fish and Bronson Reed. According to Tony Khan, WWE wants to maximize its profits and that’s why they are letting their talents go.

Tony Khan also thinks WWE had way too many great talents and it is hard for them to keep everyone. But at the same time, it is working to his advantage as they can book their superstars and make him over at AEW.

Ringside News provided a transcript, and the readers can check out Tony Khan’s entire statement below

Tony Khan is confident enough that WWE is giving him a proper competition and recently Paul Wight (Big Show) also stated that All Elite Wrestling has momentum after the recent releases of WWE.
