Alex Shelley will defend his IMPACT World Title in a one-on-one match against Josh Alexander at IMPACT Bound For Glory 2023 PPV event.

Josh Alexander got the title opportunity by defeating Steve Maclin at IMPACT Victory Road 2023 event. Alexander previously was the IMPACT World Champion but he was forced to relinquish it due to injury before the IMPACT Rebellion event.

Steve Maclin then claimed the vacant title by defeating KUSHIDA at Rebellion, but later lost it to Alex Shelley at IMPACT Against All Odds 2023 event.

On night two of IMPACT 1000, Shelley came to the aid of Josh Alexander during his match against Trey Miguel. Following the match, Alexander conveyed to Shelley that he intended to reclaim the IMPACT World Title, at IMPACT Bound For Glory 2023, later that night IMPACT made the bout official.

Alex Shelley’s last title defense was at IMPACT Multiverse United 2 event where he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi.

IMPACT Bound for Glory PPV event is scheduled for October 21, 2023, and it will be live from Cicero Stadium in Chicago, IL. Will Ospreay is also scheduled for the event where he will face Mike Bailey.
