IMPACT has announced two matches for IMPACT Emergence 2023 event – a tag team title bout and Sanada vs Jake Something.

On July 16, 2023, IMPACT officially announced that Sanada will make his appearance at IMPACT Emergence 2023 event.

On August 18, IMPACT announced that Sanada will face Jake Something at IMPACT Emergence 2023 event. Sanada Is currently the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion It has also been revealed that his upcoming match against Jake will be a non-title match.

Sanada’s most recent bout took place at the NJPW G1 33 Climax event. He participated in an 8-man tag team match alongside DOUKI, Taichi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Unfortunately, their team was defeated by the House of Torture. Sanada’s last title defense came against Jack Perry at Forbidden Door 2023 PPV where he successfully retained his title.

Jake Something’s recent match was at SFC event, where he got defeated by Ren Jones in a one-on-one match. Jake’s last IMPACT match came on July 28, 2023, when he defeated Davey Vega.

IMPACT World Tag Team Title bout is also set for IMPACT Emergence 2023 event. Subculture (Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster) will defend their Tag Team titles against The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel).

During the August 17 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel) got the opportunity for tag team titles by defeating Rich Swann and Sami Callihan in the final of the tournament.

IMPACT Emergence event is scheduled for August 27, 2023, at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Titles match is also set for the event.
