Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler WWE Women's Tag Team Champions

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler defeated The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) to become the unified WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on June 23, 2023 episode of WWE Smackdown.

During the June 9 episode of SmackDown, Rousey and Baszler came face to face against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Then, Rousey declared that she and Baszler needed a unification bout, and later that night, it was made official that there would be a title vs. title match on the June 23 episode of SmackDown.

On the June 23 episode of SmackDown, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn faced Rousey and Baszler. During the match, Fyre and Dawn dominated the first half of the match and also injured Rousey’s left leg, although at the end Baszler put Fyre in Kirifuda clutch and Rousey put Dawn in an Armbar. Both Fyre and Dawn eventually tapped out, resulting in a victory for Rousey and Baszler.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won the WWE women’s tag team championship in the May 29 episode of RAW. The titles were vacant at the time after Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan had to relinquish them due to a shoulder injury.

Raquel Rodriguez was on the commentator seat during the match. After the match, Rousey called Rodriguez and asked why she was out there. Rodriguez expressed her desire to reclaim the title that she had never lost. Liv Morgan also made her comeback to the ring after her injury to stand with Raquel.

Raquel and Liv have challenged for a match for the unified women’s tag team champion but nothing has been made official by WWE.
