CM Punk was reportedly backstage for the TV tapings the following day after IMPACT Bound For Glory.

According to Haus of Wresting, CM Punk attended the IMPACT television tapings on October 22. The report mentioned that Punk arrived shortly before the tapings commenced and was brought to the locker room area.

Punk was reportedly open to conversations with anyone who wanted to spend time with him during the taping. It was also reported that IMPACT talent had sought and received advice from CM Punk during his presence at the tapings.

Before IMPACT Bound for Glory in Chicago, fans speculated about a possible CM Punk surprise appearance, as the event was in his hometown.

Speculation intensified when IMPACT hired Ace Steel, a close friend and trainer of CM Punk, as a producer for Bound for Glory weekend. The report also mentioned that Punk had limited interaction with Ace Steel, who was working as a producer during the taping. Steel received a warm reception backstage.

AEW terminated Punk’s contract on September 2, and he has been without a contract since then. All kinds of speculation are going around his next career move with some even suggesting he could return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 which is also scheduled for Chicago.

This appearance has also started speculations regarding Punk’s future association with IMPACT or TNA Wrestling.
