Omega vs Moxley Steel Cage Match Set on AEW Dynamite May 10
AEW has announced a big steel cage match between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega for AEW Dynamite May 10, 2023 episode.
This will be part of the ongoing rivalry between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club which started with Blackpool Combat Club attacking The Young Bucks on Dynamite March 22, 2023 episode. BBC also attacked Kenny Omega on the same episode before “Hangman” Adam Page made the save.
The following week Adam Page and Don Callis were attacked backstage before Omega defended IWGP US title against Jeff Cobb. BCC attacked Omega again as Bryan Danielson also joined them and put Omega in a crossface.
The Elite hit back on April 12 Dynamite by catching Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta off guard. On April 19, BCC were able to corner The Elite before Don Callis brought out Konosuke Takeshita to help them out. BCC took down Takeshita and jabbed him with a screwdriver on April 26 Dynamite.
Omega then challenged Moxley after Dynamite on April 26 went off the air for a steel cage match. BCC aired a promo on AEW Twitter where Jon Moxley accepted the challenge. Moxley warned that Omega that he would walk out of the arena with a broken heart and a broken face.
AEW made the match official for May 10, 2023 Dynamite episode which will air from Little Ceasers Arena in Detroit, MI.
