NXT Sept 19: Carmelo vs Dominik, Heritage Tournament & More Set
WWE NXT episode of September 19, 2023, will see a champion vs champion match, and the final round matches of Global Heritage Tournament.
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes will take on North American Dominik Mysterio in a non-title singles match next week on NXT. The match was decided this week on NXT(September 12) after Dominik interrupted Hayes backstage and told him that he had copied his trick to let his competitors fight each other.
When the argument moved towards the North American title being the “A” championship, Hayes challenged Dominik to decide it in the ring next week. Dominik left after saying he would talk to Mami(Rhea Ripley) about it. The match was later made official by WWE. Trick Williams offered to corner Hayes, but Hayes turned his offer down.
Roxanne Perez is set to take on Lola Vice in another singles match. Vice and Elektra Lopez interrupted Roxanne when she was motivating the new members of locker room for participating in Women’s Breakout Tournament. They accused Roxanne of creating a rift in women’s locker room. When Roxanne replied back in aggression, they warned her this new attitude of her’s would get her in trouble.
Global Heritage Invitational Tournament will also continue with round-robin phase matches. Joe Coffey and Duke Hudson will clash from B with Coffey in line to qualify for the final with the win. If Hudson wins, they it will create a 3-way tie between Coffey, Hudson and Nathan Frazer.
Tyler Bate will face Butch from Group A. Butch is on 3 points right now with 1 win and 1 draw while Bate is on 2 points with 1 win. A win here would assure Butch’s qualification to the final while Bate will also get closer to qualification if he wins. Axiom is on 1 point after 2 matches while Dempsey is yet to open his account with one loss in the tournament so far.
