NJPW Battle in the Valley 2023 event was live from San Jose, CA, with a double main event on February 18, 2023.
The main event was between Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi for IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. In the co-main event, Mercedes Mone made her NJPW in-ring debut as she challenged KAIRI for IWGP Women’s Championship.
The other title matches on the card included NJPW TV Championship between Zack Sabre Jr. and Clark Connors. Motor City Machine Gun defended NJPW Strong Tag Team titles against West Coast Wrecking Crew. Fred Rosses took on KENTA to defend NJPW Strong Openweight Championship.
