NJPW Adds 4 Matches to NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18

NJPW has added four more matches for Wrestle Kingdom 18 event, including IWGP Unites States title match and Okada vs Danielson 2.

Will Ospreay is scheduled to defend his IWGP United States title in a triple-threat match against Jon Moxley and David Finlay. Ospreay’s most recent title defence took place at NJPW Power Struggle 2023 event, where he emerged victorious against Shota Umino.

David Finlay’s recent match at the same event resulted in a win over Tanga Loa in a one-on-one contest. Additionally, Moxley is set to participate in the AEW Full Gear 2023 event, where he will challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW International title.

Bryan Danielson is also set to compete at the event in a one-on-one match against Kazuchika Okada. Following Danielson’s challenge at NJPW Power Struggle on November 4, the match has now been officially scheduled by NJPW.

Hiromu Takahashi is also confirmed to defend his IWGP Junior Heavyweight title at the event against El Desperado. Takahashi’s most recent title defense took place at NJPW Power Struggle 2023 event, where he secured a victory over Taiji Ishimori.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team title match is another exciting bout scheduled for the event. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Clark Connors and Drilla Moloney) will defend their title against Catch 2/2(Francesco Akira & TJP). Catch 2/2 won Super Junior Tag League 2023 tournament. In their previous title defense, Connors and Moloney emerged victorious at NJPW Royal Quest III event, defeating Cameron Khai and Leon Slater.

Wrestle Kingdom 18 event is set to occur on January 4, 2024, live from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. The main event of the evening will feature a highly anticipated IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match between Sanada and Tetsuya Naito.
