John Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy to become the AEW International Championship at AEW All Out 2023 PPV event.

The match was filled with intense moments, and it was a significant occasion for Cassidy as it marked his first time headlining an AEW PPV event. The match began with Moxley taking the upper hand. Cassidy began bleeding when Moxley struck him against the barricade, and Moxley followed up with punches to his bleeding forehead.

Then Moxley executed a piledriver, but Cassidy remarkably kicked out at the count of two. Cassidy had lost a significant amount of blood, and his face was covered with blood by this time.

A moment in the match occurred when Cassidy attempted two consecutive Orange Punches, and as he looked for a third, Moxley countered with a cutter. However, Cassidy kept on and delivered another Orange punch, followed by a spear.

But in the end, Moxley sealed the victory by delivering the Death Rider to secure the pinfall. Moxley celebrated his victory alongside his BCC faction, while Cassidy received a tremendous ovation and cheers from the crowd for his great effort.

Cassidy and Moxley’s rivalry started on the July 26 AEW Dynamite, with Lucha Bros defeating Best Friends and BCC. Following the match, BCC assaulted Best Friends, which resulted in Cassidy rushing to support his faction allies.

On the August 4 episode of AEW Rampage, BCC was set to battle Best Friends in a Parking Lot fight match. During the bout, Cassidy made a return to aid his faction but endured a brutal attack from Moxley.

 At the AEW All In PPV event, Cassidy achieved victory by defeating BCC, Santana, and Ortiz alongside Eddie Kingston, Best Friends, and Penta El Zero Miedo in a 10-man tag team match.

Cassidy’s last title defense took place on the August 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, Cassidy defeated Penta El Zero Meido which was his 31st successful defense which are the most defenses for any title in AEW so far.

Moxley has become just the third wrestler to hold AEW International Championship. PAC became the inaugural champion at Forbidden Door 2022 PPV. Cassidy dethroned him in October 2022 and held it for 326 days.
