Report: MJF Re-Signed with AEW until 2027, No Talks with WWE

MJF Reveals His Stipulations for the match against Cody Rhodes

WWE is not engaging in discussions with MJF internally and there’s a belief that he has renewed his contract with AEW.

According to a report from Haus of Wrestling, multiple sources within WWE suggest that MJF has possibly renewed his contract with AEW, with one significant source from WWE mentioning that there have been absolutely no discussions between MJF and WWE.

The report also suggests that the information about MJF heading into free agency was incorrect, branding it a false narrative and indicating a strong belief that he has solidified his commitment by possibly re-signing with AEW until 2027.

AEW World Champion has been teasing Bidding War of 2024 between different promotions for his pen to the paper since last year itself. His contract with AEW was reported to be until January 1, 2024.

Neither AEW nor MJF has confirmed the report regarding MJF signing a new contract with AEW. Although, with his success in the promotion, it is a no-brainer that MJF opts to continue in the promotion.

MJF recently completed his one-year AEW World Championship reign at AEW Full Gear 2023 event by triumphing over Jay White despite an injured leg. On the same night, he also successfully defended the ROH Tag Team title against Bullet Club Gold.

He is arguably the hottest star in the company with a babyface run that is lapped up by the fans. He is also the top merchandise seller for some time now. Also, there is no indication that his World title reign is near ending.

MJF is also reported to be suffering with some injuries, which would prevent him from working matches for the next few weeks. Although, he will continue to appear on AEW TV.
