Matt Cardona “Thanks” Vince McMahon to Teach Him Everything
Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder in WWE, wants Vince McMahon to attend GCW The Wrld on GCW event later this week.
Cardona will face Joey Janela at the Wrld on GCW event on January 23 in a singles match. Taking place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, The Wrld on GCW is advertised as the biggest GCW event till now.
In order to promote his match, Cardona took to Twitter and tagged WWE President Vince McMahon. Cardona “hoped” that Mr. McMahon would attend the GCW event just like he attended all the WWE events at Madison Square Garden. Cardona went on to thank McMahon for teaching everything that has now turned him into King of independent wrestling.
Cardona has become the most hated figure in GCW with his heel tactics. Just two days back, Cardona and his wife Chelsea Green beat up wrestling legend Ricky Morton to invite more boos from the crowd. Cardona also threw ECW TV Championship into a trash can.
However, all the heel character work has surely helped to invite attention to GCW events. Last year, Cardona had a feud with GCW fan-favorite Nick Gage over GCW World Championship. Both men brawled at different events and successfully promoted their bout.
Some can say Cardona is taking inspiration from one of the greatest heels in the business, Mr Vince McMahon himself, as evident with this tweet.
GCW The Wrld on GCW event will air from 9 PM EST on January 23, 2022. The event will also feature Jon Moxley’s in-ring to defend GCW World Championship against Homicide.
