Carrying on with his farewell tour, Kurt Angle has managed to give a shock defeat to the United States Champion Samoa Joe in their match at RAW last night.

After the announcement that Angle will have the last match of his career at WrestleMania against Baron Corbin, he has been going through the opponents of his choice and has faced Apollo Crews and Chad Gable in last two weeks at RAW. On Sunday, WWE announced that Angle will go to SmackDown to have a match against AJ Styles before the announcement on Monday about his match against Samoa Joe on RAW on the same day.

Before the match, Samoa Joe cut his heel promo and claimed to put Angle to sleep for the last time. During the match also, Samoa Joe dominated for the most part but Angle was able to execute his signature German suplexes and Angle Slam. However, Joe managed to avoid the Ankle lock and after a few attempts, put Angle in the Coquina Clutch. Although still struggling, Angle managed to post his feet and get Joe with his shoulders flat to get the pin.

After his match against AJ Styles tonight at SmackDown, Angle will also face Rey Mysterio on RAW next Monday. For the complete results and updates from this week’s RAW Episode, please click here.
