Jeff Hardy was reportedly written off TV on the June 21 episode of Dynamite where he was attacked by the Bullet Club Gold after the Gunns defeated the Hardys in a tag team match.
AEW had to create this angle because AEW was starting a Canadian tour and Jeff could not enter Canada due to his arrest history. As a result, Matt Hardy revealed as part of the storyline that Jeff suffered a dislocated jaw on June 21 Dynamite.
