Jack Perry vs Hook FTW Title Set for AEW Dynamite July 19
Hook will defend his FTW championship against Jack Perry in the July 19, 2023, AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts special.
Jack Perry and Hook used to be tag team partners named JungleHOOK. The rivalry between Perry and Hook started at the AEW NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 event. Perry lost to Sanada at the event in a match for IWGP World Championship. After the match, Jack Perry turned on Hook and attacked him.
Ever since, Perry has been running his mouth disrespecting Hook and has also been running from Hook whenever he tried to attack him. During the July 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry declared that he would not return to the show until he was given the chance to challenge Hook for the FTW Championship.

At a promo on the July 14 episode of Rampage, Hook accepted Perry’s challenge and told him that he would see him in Boston where July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite is set to air.
Hook has held the FTW title for nearly a year after winning it from Ricky Starks. Although not officially recognized by AEW, Hook has defended it against the likes of Ari Daivari, Angelo Parker, Matt Hardy and Ethan Page. Hook is yet to lose a singles match in AEW.
The July 19 episode of AEW Dynamite will be live from TD Garden, Boston, MA, US. Below is the complete line-up for the show:
- The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Young Bucks & Hangman Page) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli), Konosuke Takeshita and PAC in a Blood & Guts match
- MJF & Adam Cole vs Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia – Blind Eliminator tag team tournament finals
- Hook vs Jack Perry – FTW Championship
