Iyo Sky MITB Cash-In Leads to Women’s Title Win at WWE SummerSlam 2023

Iyo Sky cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to beat Bianca Belair & win WWE Women’s championship at WWE SummerSlam 2023 PLE.

Asuka defended her WWE Women’s Championship in a triple-threat match against Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. The match featuring the three women was intense and highly heated, showcasing their exceptional skills and fierce competitiveness.

However, in the middle of the match, Belair was injured when Charlotte Flair threw her outside the ring. The medical team quickly rushed to Belair for medical evaluation. The medical team was taking her out of the match, but Belair rushed back to hit a 450 splash on Charlotte Flair.

Flair then locked Belair in a Figure 8 lock. Asuka used green mist on Charlotte Flair before Belair executed a roll-up on Asuka to win the match.

Immediately after the match, Iyo Sky and Bayley ran out with the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase. They targeted Bianca’s knee with the briefcase before Sky announced her MITB cash-in. Sky did not waste any time and hit Bianca with Over The Moonsault to win the match and WWE Women’s Championship.

Iyo Sky celebrated her victory with her Damage CTRL mate, Dakota Kai, and Bayley. The win for Sky marked her first reign as the WWE Women’s Champion.

Sky won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the namesake event last month. She has become the sixth women to successfully cash in MITB breifcase to win a title.

Iyo Sky was introduced to the main roster with Damage CTRL at Summerslam 2022. One year later at SummerSlam 2023, she has become the WWE Women’s Champion.
