CM Punk sustained a triceps injury during WWE Royal Rumble event 2024 PLE.
On January 29 episode of RAW, CM Punk kicked off the show by disclosing that he had incurred a torn triceps injury. The recovery period for this injury is estimated to be between 4 to 6 months, leading to Punk’s unfortunate absence from WrestleMania 40.
Despite his emotional state, Punk took a moment to extend congratulations to Cody Rhodes. He made a promise to continue entertaining until the wheels fall off and expressed optimism about the possibility of participating in WrestleMania next year.
Following that, Drew McIntyre emerged to disrupt Punk, leading to a confrontation between the two. McIntyre expressed satisfaction with Punk’s injury, continuing to taunt and insult him. Punk responded confidently, asserting that in the future, he would headline WrestleMania, and upon returning from his injury, his first challenge would be against McIntyre.
Then the exchange escalated as Punk threw a punch at McIntyre, initiating a physical altercation. However, McIntyre countered with a headbutt, followed by stomping on Punk’s injured arm. The situation was interrupted when Sami Zayn rushed in to intervene and make the save.
On January 27, CM Punk participated in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Unfortunately, he was the final contestant to be eliminated, with Cody Rhodes emerging as the winner.
